Down It! was a project I contributed to as part of the team Pat to the Future as an entry in the Code Institute St Patrick's Day themed Hackathon. The brief was to create a St. Patrick's Day themed app that would bring people together during the lockdown period.

It is a quiz game where players can score in units of Guinness pints. Players have 60 seconds to answer as many Irish themed questions as possible to achieve the highest score. Scores are saved in a MongoDB database and displayed at the end of each game on the leaderboard.

I participated in this hackathon only 2 months into my coding diploma - only having a basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and some JavaScript. It was a fantastic experience working alongside other coders learning about agile development practises and going out of my comfort zone. Most importantly it was great fun!
